Privacy

This is a plain description of what we store, not a template. If something here changes, this page changes with it.

The free read needs no account

You can take the 12-question quiz at /quiz without signing up. Your answers are processed in your browser session to produce the result; we do not require an email address or any account to use the free read.

What we store, and why

Your email address

Collected when you create an account to buy a plan, or when you explicitly ask for the free read and practical email series. Used to sign you in, deliver the plan, send delivery and payment receipts, send the series you opted into, and reply if you write to us. The series stops when you unsubscribe or buy a plan.

Quiz answers

Your answers to the free 12-question read. If you ask us to email the read, a limited result summary is stored with your email so the series can be relevant. If you proceed to buy a plan, these answers carry forward so you are not asked the same questions twice.

Paid intake answers

The 19 further questions asked after checkout: your cat's age, sex and neuter status, household and room layout, and what you have already tried. These are used to assemble your plan, machine-check it before delivery, and read it afterwards.

Payment information

Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe passes us confirmation that payment succeeded and a transaction reference, nothing more.

Who processes it

  • Convex — hosts the database: your account, quiz and intake answers, and your delivered plan.
  • Clerk — handles sign-in and authentication.
  • Stripe — handles payment. Card details never touch our servers.
  • Resend — sends account, plan-delivery, correction, receipt, and opted-in series email.
  • Vercel AI Gateway and the underlying model provider— processes paid intake and plan text to draft and machine-check a plan. The provider is selected through the Gateway and may be outside the European Economic Area; its terms and data-processing arrangements also apply.
  • PostHog — product analytics on this website (which pages are visited, which buttons are used) so we can tell what is actually working. This does not include your quiz or intake answers.

ThresholdCat does not sell your quiz answers, intake answers, or plan content. We do not use them to train our own models. They are sent to the listed service providers only for the functions described above, subject to the providers' current terms and processing arrangements.

Why we process it, and automated planning

We use account and intake data because it is needed to provide a purchased plan. We use an email address for the free series only when you give a clear affirmative opt-in; you can withdraw that consent through any unsubscribe link. We use limited website analytics to understand whether the site works and which pages are useful.

The free read uses deterministic rules. A paid plan is drafted by a model from the published protocol library, checked by a separate model and deterministic checks, and then read by a person after delivery. Cases that meet refusal or veterinary boundaries are stopped rather than sold. This is assistance in producing written guidance, not a medical diagnosis or a decision about a legal entitlement.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, including direct marketing. Email hello@thresholdcat.com to exercise a right or withdraw email consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, intake answers, and delivered plan for as long as your account exists, so you can come back and read your plan later — the plan you buy is yours permanently. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove it and do not keep a standing copy beyond what Stripe or Resend retain in their own systems for legal or billing-record reasons on their side, which is outside our control.

How to have it deleted

Email hello@thresholdcat.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete your data. We will confirm once it is done. There is no self-serve delete button on the site yet — if that bothers you, say so in the email and we will still handle it by hand.
